Wendland Lantern Case Study

A detached house located in the heart of East Leake, a cosy village in Loughborough – is the home to the Morison family. The Morison family wanted to create more ground floor space to relax and entertain which was light, bright, and suitable for all year-round living.  The search for the right products for their extension was extensive, having considered several installers, they chose The Bespoke Orangery Ltd.

Homeowner, Hannah Morison, said: “We needed more ground floor space as we have outgrown our current space. The orangery was designed for us by The Bespoke Orangery Ltd and there was a choice of sizes, colours, finishes, windows and doors which fully met our requirements. The service from the installer and fitting team was amazing as was the customer care. We would 100% recommend the installer and Wendland roofing systems to anyone else looking to extend their home.  The extension has really changed how we use the house and the garden. We love the individuality of the room and the light which it brings into our home.”

After speaking to The Bespoke Orangery Ltd about the different options available and the benefits, they opted for a flat roof extension complete with a grey roof lantern, and a set of bi-folding doors with a corner window to bring the garden into the property.

The extension is open to the kitchen, creating a sociable open-plan lounge and dining room in one which provide floor to ceiling views of their beautiful surroundings.

Wendland lanterns are packed with thermal features to avoid condensation build-up. From the thermal rider rail to the thermal clips, these features combine to ensure excellent performance, especially important in the kitchen where heat levels can change quickly.

The installer, The Bespoke Orangery Ltd, chose Wendland due to the quality of Wendland systems and the recommendation from their fabricator, TCR Derby. The Wendland aluminium lantern offers modern styling and thanks to a host of clip-on features there are no visible fixings, meaning that the lantern also looks extremely neat. The 20° pitch has been designed at the optimum angle to ensure that plenty of natural light is drawn into the room below to create a bright and airy interior.

Harrison Surgey from The Bespoke Orangery, said: “I received an excellent and speedy service from TCR Derby, before, during and after installation and would recommend them and Wendland to anyone looking for a lantern supplier or any conservatory/ extension roofing products.”
